System for count, ID and AST directly from urine specimens.
Urin System Chrom is a 32 wells system containing biochemical substrates, chromogenic and dried antibiotics for the semi-quantitative determination of total bacterial count, presumptive identification and susceptibility testing of microorganisms from urinary tract infections. The system is inoculated with a dilution of urine after the presence of microorganism has been ascertained by microscope examination of urinary sediment and incubated at 36±1°C for 18-24 hours. The tests for semiquantitative determination of total microbial count, presumptive identification and for susceptibility testing are interpreted by assessing the change in colour of the various wells.
