Enzyme catalyzes the hydrolysis of inorganic pyrophosphatase to form orthophosphatase:
P2O7-4 + H2O → 2HPO4-2.
Enzyme is extremely thermostable.
Source: Isolated from E. coli strain that carries the cloned inorganic pyrophosphatase gene from Thermococcus litoralis
Concentration: 1000 units/ml
Unit Definition: One unit is the amount of enzyme that will generate 40 nmoles of phosphate per minute from pyrophosphate under standard reaction conditions (50 mM Tris-HCl, pH 8.5; 1 mM MgCl 2 , 0.32 mM PPi) at 75°C
Reaction Buffer (x10):
• 500 mM Tris-HCL (pH 8.5)
• 10 mM MgCl2
Storage buffer:
• 20 mM Tris-HCL (pH 7.6)
• 100 mM KCl
• 0.1 mM EDTA
• 0.2% Tween-20
• 50 % glycerol
Storage conditions: -20 °C
