Sensi Test Gram-negative
Description

System for susceptibility testing of Gram-negative bacteria, 23 antimicrobial agents in single concentration.

Sensi Test gram-negative is a 24-well system containing desiccated antibiotics for the susceptibility testing of gram-negative bacteria and enterococci. The system is inoculated with the bacterial suspension of the micro-organism under examination and incubated at 36°C ± 1°C for 18-24 hours. The susceptibility testing is interpreted by assessing the change in colour of the various wells in the system, and the strain of bacteria is defined as Sensitive (S), Intermediate (I) or Resistant (R).

Sensi Test gram-negative makes it possible to execute the susceptibility testing of:

- Urinary enterococci and enterobacteria;

- Enterobacteria isolated from other clinical samples;

- Pseudomonas spp. and non-fermenting bacteria;

- Gram-negative bacteria of veterinary origin.

The susceptibility testing is assessed on the basis of the growth or inhibition of the micro-organisms in media containing antibiotic and a growth indicator in wells from 1-AK to 23-SXT. Well 24-C does not contain antibiotics, only the culture medium, and the indicator therefore serves as a control for bacterial growth.

The kit contains:

20 Sensi Test gram-negative systems;

20 vials of Suspension Medium (7 ml / vial);

20 Antibiogramma/Susceptibility Testing Forms;

1 Instruction sheet.
